Katherine Heigl opens up with the world on her "white bubble childhood" and how it has influenced how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. In an interview, the "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her looks didn't bother her, however, after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different their lives were. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents, and in the case of going out on their own. Meg responded "Oh yes! All the all the time!" That made me realize that I was so ignorant," Heigl said to Parents. Heigl admitted she became frustrated and thought it was crucial to put her anger towards helping the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four-year old son with her 13-year spouse, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in 2012.
