Laura Linney is an American actress who is well-known for her performance of strong but vulnerable characters. In the summer, while working with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love with theatre. Later she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. She began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree in the year 2000, before making her TV debut in the next year. She has appeared in innumerable movies, television shows and stage productions since then. She has been nominated for three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her time on the stage. In spite of all these nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theatre remains constant, as she performs as a stage performer and screen.
