Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 at an Olympic event. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. In 1969, she competed at the Romanian Junior Olympics and placed 13th. She won in 1970. She won three golds in her debut competition at a pre-Olympic junior meet in 1972, which was a communist-controlled countries. In 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-around champion. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European champion, at her first senior international competition held in 1975. In this event she won four golds and a silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her first professional work was in entertainment during her teens, when she was the figure skating duo of her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the world of entertainment during her teens. As a young girl she was Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show called Ice Capades. The shows featured skating on ice and included theatrical performances.
